Introduction
Textile Engineering uses the chemical and physical
principles
of engineering for detail study and analysis of behavior of polymers with specific knowledge of textile equipment and processes to convert the natural or synthetic fiber into yarn then fabric and then textiles or Cloth . Textile engineering deals with the application of scientific and engineering principles to the design and control of all aspects of fiber, textile, and apparel processes, products, and machinery.The industry has categorized in three major areas of work namely research and development, manufacturing and merchandising.
Educational qualification
Minimum 12th Class from science subjects (Physics ,Chemistry and Mathematics /Biology ) from any board .After completing 12th class clear the engineering entrance examination like IIT-JEE ,AIEEE , state level Pre -Engineering Test (PET) or university level examination to get admission in engineering college providing Textile Engineering degree.
You can also do Master degree in any specialized branch of Textile engineering from a reputed college after graduation in Textile engineering (four year ) or Master Degree in Science etc (like MSc etc) by clearing all India level GATE Examination or other MBA entrance examination if want to go for Textile Management .

A Textile Engineer can get starting salary in the range of 15000/- to 40000/- per month depending on his/her skill , type of industry , and brand name of company.After having 4-5 years of experience one can get salary in the range of 50000/- to 800000/- per month , again depend on above mentioned factors.After having 15-20 years of experience one can join as consultant adviser in any big organization .
